The lawyer will prepare the Petition for divorce or other family law pleading for you to file on your own, when the other party agrees to the matter.
Divorce mediation

If you are aiming for an amicable divorce to save money on legal fees and litigation but you cannot agree on some matters, the lawyer will act as a neutral mediator to advise the parties on the best way to settle the matters, for up to a half-day mediation, and if an agreement is reached, will prepare the Petition for divorce to be filed with the Court that same day. Please note that the price is the same regardless if an agreement is reached, and the lawyer does not represent either party in this situation. These historical terms concern mediation and petition preparation; they do not offer or guarantee a same-day divorce.
